Air entering the compressor section is compressed and delivered into the combustion section where it is mixed with fuel and ignited to generate a high-speed exhaust gas flow. The high-speed exhaust gas flow expands through the turbine section to drive the compressor and the fan section. Typically, a double flow duct, as shown in FIG. 1, is used to supply air from a nacelle inlet air supply duct to the compressor section and from the compressor section to the combustor section. The double flow duct 10 has an inlet duct 11 that feeds air into a compressor section fan bypass duct 13 through a first inlet 14. A first inlet duct flow control 14 is located in the inlet duct 11 and comprises a flow divider that divides the flow of air entering the inlet duct 11 into first and second flow paths 15, 16. A second inlet duct flow control 18 is located in the first flow path 15, and comprises a variable volume variable area (VVA) flow divider that divides the flow of air entering the first flow path 15 into third and fourth flow paths 19, 20. A third inlet duct flow control 20 is located in the third flow path 19, and comprises a variable area flow divider that divides the flow of air entering the third flow path 19 into a fifth flow path 21 and a sixth flow path 22. A fourth inlet duct flow control 23 is located in the fourth flow path 20, and comprises a variable volume variable area (VVA) flow divider that divides the flow of air entering the fourth flow path 20 into a seventh flow path 24 and an eighth flow path 25.
